like late 70s punkers who are used to the garage’s acoustics. Raw. With energy that comes from the Jam, early Elvis Costello and that spirit of new wave that thought glam SUCKED. While there are moments of actual production, like the sonic montage of the title ‘song,’ most of this ROCK is the type that can be replicated Completely on stage. Dubs?
One of the catchiest of this catchy group is certainly the danceable ‘Little to the Left,’ which like everything else here is short but very sweet. Though the band has a smaller sound, think of the Ramones and know you’re getting some quality-controlled top guitar spunk.
This is their 2nd release, though it’s been a whopping 3 years since the previous Wardrobe for a Jet Weekend hit the world. Obviously the stage is where they’ve been keeping themselves, beefing up that intense, unstrained sound of theirs. They must have a pretty cool show by now. This cd is as close as most of us will get to hearing it.
