CD REVIEW: Hot Socky – “Hot Socky”
By Stacey Board - 04/27/2004 - 05:49 PM EDT

Artist: Band: Hot Socky
Album: “Hot Socky”
CD Review: This is bouncy, jangly pop at its best. It is Beatlesque and energizing and just plain fun. If you don’t tap your feet to these songs you could be clinically depressed.

The arrangements are electric guitars, bass and drums with vocals. The band is very tight without crossing the line and squeezing the life out of any songs. I am convinced they are all having a lot of fun playing these songs.

The topics of the songs veer from topics as diverse as love, hate, jerks, panic and all sorts of things in between. Each song is flavored with wit and intelligence and has a beat you can dance to.
