CD REVIEW: Peter Haines – “Footprints”
By Stacey Board - 04/27/2004 - 07:26 PM EDT

Artist: Peter Haines
Album: “Footprints”
CD Review: "Footprints" is a well chosen name for this CD because each song is, at its core, an impression. They each tell us a story in a traditional folk song way, relating stories of people and events that the author wants us to learn from and remember.

Haines delivers these songs with his rich, smooth voice and acoustic guitar. The accompanying musicians support the songs very well. The overall sound is very heartfelt and soothing.

You could easily compare him in spirit to John Denver or Cat Stevens but Haines has stories to tell that are all his own. Fans of the aforementioned Denver or Stevens will greatly appreciate this gentle, sincere troubadour.
