CD REVIEW: Jane – “Seedling”
By Stacey Board - 07/18/2004 - 06:10 PM EDT

Artist: Jane
Album: “Seedling”
CD Review: “Seedling” is full of upbeat positive pop with clean tight production. Jane has a definite way with a hook and she’s got some great singing chops. There are nice touches of blues, funk and rock and even some twang in the mix to keep it varied.

She also has a high clear edge to her powerful singing voice that doesn’t fade or get monotonous over the course of the CD. She’s as good a songwriter as anyone on pop radio right now and she also brings the singing goods and great production to the party.

Jane developed a following on MP3 before she even had a CD, and you can hear why. “Seedling” will go a long way to establish her with many more new fans.
