CD Review: The fact that Templeton Thompson, a seasoned singer/songwriter from Dickson, Tennessee, has written songs for Reba McEntire is a testament to her superb songwriting talent. The fact that she is a highly sought-after session vocalist suggests that she has a tremendous vocal range. The fact that her newest CD can be listened to in its entirety without skipping one track, is an indication that she put her talent and heart into this project.

From the Shania Twainish opening track, "I Still Feel," to the uptempo Bonnie Rait inspired "Settle Down Cinderella," Templeton displays the strong vocals, superior singing, songwriting, and performing skills that one would expect from an artist with her experience, but it's the subtle and powerful emotional expression which she emotes in "The Edge Of The Spotlight," and "I'll Know," that punctuates the immensity of her talents. And then there's her radio hit, "If I Didn't Need The Money," which is more than a song, it's a sentiment shared by many and it recalls the spirit - if not the defiance - of the 80's hit, "Take This Job And Shove It". It has the potential to be a classic.

If you enjoy Country music, do yourself a favor and buy this CD today.

Advice: Keep moving forward and up.
