CD Review:
Label: Independent - I Said! Records Tracks: 12 Released: 2004 For Fans Of: Elton John, Fav Tracks: 89 of You, Leaving, Mission, Orbital.
On this full-length release, Keyth picks up where I left off with him, and finishes off what he started quite nicely.
Twelve tales from Keyth's purple world keep us entertained as though we were hanging at the corner tapas bar for the evening with nothing to do but breathe him in. Rollicking, fun and serious at the same time, I'm really enjoying letting him entertain me, the way I used to sit back and listen to Billy Joel do the same on his early albums.
What Keyth brings to the table is tasteful piano decorated by his equally tasteful vocals. He drifts through twelve songs, and like on ocean swell he delivers ebb and flow, and an even tide. He and his finely tuned Circle are very capable of playing like liquid and do the tunes justice, with most of the melody wrapping itself around Keyth's distinct delivery.
With presentation to match the package inside, I can't see anything but a sunny horizon for Keyth and his visions. All that's left is for us all to hear of him.
