CD REVIEW: Kirsten Williams - "Flood The Sky"
By Stacey Board - 02/28/2005 - 01:21 AM EST

Artist: Kirsten Williams
CD Review: Kirsten Williams is a talented writer that has put together a CD of songs that are unique, strong and delicate all at once.

These songs are deeply personal, honest and direct. Her voice reminds me somewhat of the purposefully detached singing style of Suzanne Vega, which actually gives the words more impact. Her voice is also very smooth and agile.

The imagery she uses in her songwriting is also unique and powerful. Even when describing a simple scene she has a talent for presenting it to you in a new way. That is what makes an artist and not just a songwriter.
