CD REVIEW: Madelyn Lavender - "Memory Tree"
By Stacey Board - 04/19/2005 - 09:13 PM EDT

Artist: Madelyn Lavender
CD Review: Lavender's vocal delivery style is a mix of traditional singing and what I might call ‘acting’ the song. She does not sing in a traditional melodic way. Think Marianne Faithful. In fact think drum circles and incense and how reality is overrated.

Her songs are very much a free spirit flower power expressions. Her titles “Psychedelic Lunatic” and “On The Road to Inner Peace” describe well her overall songwriting. She shares with us her inner adventures in her own very unique voice.
