CD Review:

Jennifer Greer, a singer/songwriter/pianist extraordinaire, turns in her sophomore project with a decisively more aggressive and uptempo direction. A bold move for a composer who is best known for her ethereal arrangements and vocal performances. Does it work? Yes it does.

The song "When You Call Me," represents both a departure, and an arrival for Jennifer. It's a rapidly percussive track that's also memorably melodic, but it's the bouncy, radio-friendly, "Paperboys & Unicorns," that narrow the divide between old, and new.

While this CD, like her last one, is comprised of an independent thoughts and topics, Jennifer's body of work is very coherent and offers a complete offering to music lovers who have a predilection for piano as painting brush. Jennifer's stories and images are bound to satisfy as evidenced on her vintage songs like "Woodsy," and "Ocean Liner."

The immensity of Jennifer's talents can't be contained on a CD. You feel beckoned to experience her musicianship in person with thousands, in a city near you. That will bring a Fistful Of Stars...and a fistful of dollars.
