CD Review: If you where to musically fuse Appollonia’s “Sex Shooter” and The Time’s “The Walk,” the result would be “Cling Wrap," taken from Sam Sparro’s latest EP, “Black & Gold,” which showcases a smorgasbord of musical styles and influences that are interwoven with a funky brand of electronica. With a sassy lyrical concept of a girl sticking to you and crowding your space like cling wrap (which most fellas can relate to), the track easlily makes up in entertainment value what it lacks in commercial appeal. The song will be a gold mine for a music supervisor who is looking for a Minneapolis sound-alike recording from mid the eighties era.
