CD Review:
Hailing from Los Angeles, California, is the R&B singing group, Brutha. Though they may be new to many people, they certainly are not new on the scene. They formed in 2002 and have been on the grind ever since.
This debut project holds a lot of promise, but a quick YouTube search reveals that it may not showcase their talent as abundantly as it should. These guys can really sing. Songs like “I Can’t Hear The Music” (featuring Fabolous), and “Bang Bang” are obligatory due to their age, but it’s with the more mature content such as the slower paced “Ghost,” and “What If” that they sound the best. What’s missing is what they need to truly announce their arrival and leave their mark: a classic, organic ballad a la “Can You Stand The Rain,” or “End Of The Road” to distinguish them.
