CD REVIEW: Goodtime Rush House - STU 1974
By Ben Ohmart - 05/21/2007 - 10:34 AM EDT

Artist: Band: Goodtime Rush House
Genre: Acoustic Folk/Rock
CD Review:
'Having a Good Time' is having a good time. Imagine yourself with the top down on the car, riding through the biggest city, hitting all the lights on your leisurely roll through the streets. That's this. 'April Fools' is on the same track. 'cleo and cosmo / you can shove / right up your arse / i'd rather give / your stupid quiz a pass / what would you say to me / on april fools day'.

Good guitar on 'Way of a Woman'. The tune is like 80s guitar rock, but not too heavy. A mellow sort of rock that I really prefer. If all the songs sounded like this, I'd be satisfied. But there are many more sounds, so if you're not like me, you should be able to find your brew.

Only 5 songs, alas. 'Fallin' is last, a beautiful acoustic song that would be a good ending to any cd. 'don't hold on / to yesterday / I only wish / I could make her stay'.
