CD Review: I have just received this nice package from Hunter Hayes with his cd, dvd, biography and pictures. I must admit it was a nice surprise and it conveyed immediately his deep love for music and life. His energy and passion.

He is a musician and saxophone player from New Jersey with a rich musical background. He has been playing all his life and among his highlights he has been on the Show at Symphony Hall with “Kool & the gang”, “The Stylistics”, “The Manhattans”. He was signed to De-Lite records at the age of 20 and later to Island records. At the time he had 2 hits in New York radios and dance scene called “This time” and “Are you wid it”.  He had the chance to meet and make friends with great artists and djs and appeared in the best clubs, radios and tvs. Recording wise he did a huge work, making over 150 singles and 17 albums.

Later he had his big occasion and signed to Columbia records but things did not go well and he did not find the right space for his artistry in the music industry.

He decided to go solo and started it all again anew with enthusiasm and energy.

His new album is the result of this enthusiastic effort. He is back to writing his own songs again and 10 beautiful tracks can be found on this cd called “It’s been a wonderful life”. His music is positive, takes the listener to sunny places and relaxing dreams, it’s really a feel good experience. His voice is a ray of  sunlight. He is similar to the most sophisticated crooners and especially Tony Bennet. They have a lot in common. Same vocal range, same passion, same deepness. He sings with class and the cd is a must for all people who like dreaming while listening to music.

His saxophone is smooth, it caresses you while you listen. The arrangements are nice and simple, allowing the music and voice to emerge in all their natural beauty. You never get tired of listening to his songs and this is something special for an artist.

It is never too late to start again, especially if you have such good qualities.
