CD REVIEW: Steve Hurley
By Ben Ohmart - 05/21/2007 - 10:34 AM EDT

Artist: Steve Hurley
Genre: Country/Rock
CD Review:
Woah, woah, yeah, yeah. 'The Border' is catchy stuff, reminding me a bit of Kansas and a few other not-country-but-Rock-damn-you! bands. 'If you can make it to the border, we'll finally be together for all time.' The production is clean though not the best I've ever heard. Steve's voice is distinctive, like a bar drinking buddy who suddenly surprises you by getting up and shaking it. 'Hurricane' is a good hippy hippy shake number - acoustic, electric guitar, tambourine, country-type lyrics and flow.

Overall, fun stuff.
