CD Review:
Here we have about a half hour's worth of rock and rock n roll. The best of the cd(r?) is the opening 'Don't Get Me Wrong'. Strong vocals, plenty of guitar, and probably the best recording of the group. The rest sounds a bit like an official bootleg or something, but let's dwell on songwriting not sound. 'Never Say Never Again' isn't the theme to that Bond movie, but an uptempo bit of fun proving these guys as an up and coming guitar-strong band worth watching. The voice on 'Don't Walk Away' puts an original voice in front of this guitar well enough to remind me of Pet Shop Boys, if they had gone in for REAL instruments. After the crickets finish with 'Nite Jam', enjoy 2.5 minutes of what I'd like to call Paul McCartney's 70s jam. It follows the lines of blues and keeps the night strong enough for a man, made for a woman. Good selection of material. Clean up a bit of the boot quality on some of the tracks, and you've got a teaser here for the suits at EMI or whatever.
