Best Songs: Love you than leave you, Let’s unite, Still burning
CD Review: She used to be a rocker from Las Vegas where she has played in many rock bands. With her debut solo album she changes her tone and goes smoother but all her past experiences can be heard in her experimental and very personal way of approaching songs.

As life changes with the passing of the years so should do artists, grow and explore should be their main goal. This is exactly what she has done with her new work, so different from the past but on the same road, just a few steps ahead.

Her voice is versatile, can be soft and rough at the same time and that makes it easy for her to approach different genres. “Love you than leave you” and “Still burning” are those kind of songs you never get tired of, but also in more experimental tracks like “Fluffy clouds” and “My mind will be satisfied” she doesn’t let you down.

The production is good, piano and guitar in the front row and a lot of programming to fill the air give a final very pleasing sound.

She also dares to record a very personal cover of Gershwin’s “Nice work if you can get it” and the result is fascinating because she has the ability of making the song her own. I would have loved to find the lyrics in a booklet and read them quietly because I can sense there is a lot of quality there as well.

This album is full of soft ballads that never dare to sound boring but pass you by while listening to the record like little butterflies, each one leaving a color and a trail behind.
