CD REVIEW: Eric Latturner - The Light at the End of the Tunnel
By Ben Ohmart - 05/21/2007 - 10:34 AM EDT

Artist: Eric Latturner
Genre: Folk
CD Review:
I admire Eric’s energy, and I think he’s one cd away from a very good album. His falsetto voice blends nicely with the acoustic springtime he pitches in ‘Wildflower’ and ‘Love Comes in Spurts’. His lyrics are pretty straight forward, which is emotionally pleasant for things like ‘Bring Back the Rain’, a simple voice/guitar piece, repeating the title as if he’s an old Indian who misses the seasons. And of course ‘Time... Wait For Me’ is a quick dance-acoustic song, one of the best on the cd. A bit short, ending abruptly like time with the ring of an alarm clock. A good kickin’ instrumental break within would not start riots however. Overall, good. Not great. But a nice club venue for the folk folk I’m sure.
