CD Review:
This Brazilian influenced project arrives just in time for summer. With solid musicianship and thoughtful production, Luba is able to weave her alluring sound, unforgettable melodies, and engaging stories around your heart with the help of her distinctive, and flavorful vocals.
Her title (and most commercial) track, “Krazy Love,” instantly sets the mood, but it’s the track, “A Summer Night,” with it’s Sergio Mendes feel, and serene imagery that takes your breath away. Luba puts on a fine display of vocal control that’s very Barbra Streissand-esque. It’s beautifully complemented by the sultry, “Christmas In July” which is ideal for your romantic summer night’s theme song. Summer is a time for fun and dancing. The tracks “This House,” and “Gorgeous Fool,” are sure to serve their purpose with an exciting blend of vibrant rhythms and dance floor enticing grooves.
Let this be a summer for Krazy Love.
