CD REVIEW: Make Lisa Rich - Another Venus
By Ben Ohmart - 05/21/2007 - 10:34 AM EDT

Artist: Band: Make Lisa Rich
Genre: Pop
CD Review:
Once you're through the airplane factory noises, up pops 'Fetish' with its 'red - just like her bloody lips - victim of circumstance - the time is now - drown - drown in your discipline'. Loud guitars and unrelenting beat make the volume knob rather inconsequential. It's going to flood your ears even on minimum. 'Cinnamon Anderson' is possibly the catchiest thing on the album, and I don't mean disease. The 'because you don't care' chorus is pleasant stuff, and with lyrics like 'she's the first in a long line of overachievers - I can hear it now - it's stadium sized - a junior high long shot - cinnamon anderson I think I'm gonna write me a runaway note', how can you ask for your money back? Short cd, but that means you get back to the front that much faster so you can listen to it all over again. And you'll wanna.
