CD Review:
Oh yes. Already I like this album way over their live cd. 'Americana Swang' begins in thick blues-rock style, with few vocals and lots of jazz sounds all over the place, like a tune looking for a good home.
'I Do Not Love You' goes back to your acoustic, alternative, modern pop flavor that usually finds radio airwaves easily. The vocals are nicely argumentative, and at times fluid, like getting drunk to forget that she said I do not love you.
'Burning Around the Sun' is the sort of easy feeling I used to love listening to when I was in college. A big hand to Rick Thompson on keys who makes this one happen. We're back in jazz, the jazz that takes your mind off things, the simple light sounds with plenty of movement for the superego.
Good music, sometimes great, a band that works so well together I'm glad the cover letter said that they're all in it for the long haul. Thanks for the music.
