CD REVIEW: Peter Poumbourious - Pete's Life as a Dog

Artist: Peter Poumbourious Genre: Rock CD Review: A 2 song cdr demo from Australia. It's good. Sort of bluesy, dark rock with a good band sound. Peter has a strong voice for lead singing, and I'm not sure if he's performing everything himself here or not. Yes or no, it's just pop enough to end up on mainstream stations.
Take these words from 'Kiss Your Radio Goodbye' - 'you're loyal and loose at the same time / you try to improve yourself / now that's a crime / you talk yourself up but I'm not blind / like cat in caboose destroy nine lives'. Rather good with words, if at times a bit strange to this American ear.
He asked me for advice, but I have none really to give to the artist. Because he's coming along fine. But I do have a thought to give Peter the Promoter. Being in Australia is going to be tough on the cash to conquer America with. Spend some real time trying to find an international promoter. Preferably web search them, so that you can contact via email and save some money. Costs a lot even to send a little bio package from Australia to USA. www.yahoo.com and www.lycos.com and a few others will save some time and headache. And hopefully you'll find someone who can push you to the proper channels without a billion dollar budget.
