CD REVIEW: Beth Singer - Guards at the Gate of My Heart (single)
By Ben Ohmart - 05/21/2007 - 10:34 AM EDT

Artist: Beth Singer
Genre: Country
CD Review:
She's got a face like Mary Ann from Gilligan's Island and a vocal belt the size of your favorite country star. This is a single with 2 songs, first up is the delightful Guards production, asking that old question about lost love how the hell did you get past me? 2nd is a Jewel like simple thing with just voice and piano, proving: just give Beth a working throat, a spotlight, some sort of instrument, perhaps a red dress, and she'll light up the darkest of clubs.
