What's New?
This section is - you guessed it - a listing of the daily updates that go on for The Muse's Muse. You can check this section if you want a quick overview of what's changed.

The Muse's News:
The website's monthly e-zine and newsletter had its first issue released in March 1998. 5000+ subscribers later (and growing!) the newsletter is one of the most popular features of The Muse's Muse.  Why not check it out for yourself? I'm always looking for contributions of articles, ideas for web sites or songwriting books to review and interesting market and songwriting contest announcements to include.  Rates for purchasing classified and sponsorship ads are found in the site's Media Kit & Rate Card, but market information and songwriting contest notices are included for free.  Contact me for details!.

Songwriting Organizations:
A huge listing of various songwriting organizations around the world.   If you feel your organization should be listed here too, please do contact me!  I'll be happy to add it.

Radio Muse:
The Muse's Muse now has its own songwriter radio show! This is a regularly produced broadcast that's pre-recorded with 12 talented songwriters per show. Songwriters that are spotlighted have their CD covers displayed along with a link to their site and a 100 word bio. Have a look and think about submitting your own music for consideration! All the instructions for submission are right there.

Chat Rooms:
There are quite a few of them on The Muse's Muse.  Want to meet with that favourite collaborator of yours but you're not living anywhere close?  Met someone over the web that you want to have a brainstorming session with?  Meeting in one of the many chat rooms here might be a good solution for you.  They're open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  If you want to be certain to see other people around, you'll want to drop by our Songwriting Discussion Room on Monday nights from 9pm ET onward for our regular chat, co-hosted with SongU.com.

Interviews:
Ever wondered what went on in a songwriter's head (besides your own, that is).   This is just the place to find out how others write their songs, what techniques they use, how they managed their success, etc.

Music Reviews:
Several amazingly devoted and talented people have kindly consented to be regular reviewers here at The Muse's Muse. They have their own section of the web site for Music Reviews, including various articles. If you have an independent CD, why not consider sending in a copy for them to review?

The Entertainment Cyberscope:
Jerry Flattum
has created the EC to celebrate the spectacular world of music and entertainment, or to be more accurate, the "convergence" of music and entertainment. It is a macro view and does not pretend to be all-inclusive. It is not a search engine in the sense you enter a keyword and get 1000's of results. It's not meant to confuse but to provide clarity in understanding the size and scope of the entertainment industry and in finding resources.

Publishing and Administration Q&A:
For a long time, Nancy A. Reece regularly answered questions from people about copyright, management and publishing issues and wrote some very helpful articles as well. She's compiled these questions and articles into a very worthwhile and helpful e-book. More information can be found at this link.

Columnists:
There are several of them here at The Muse's Muse. Have a look in this section to see articles and Q&A's on any number of interesting topics specifically for songwriters and independent musicians.

Music Publications:
Another wonderful listing supplied by Jerry Flattum.  Looking for a music publication?  You're very likely to find what you're looking for here. (Please Note: This resource has been incorporated into the Entertainment Cyberscope and will no longer be updated. See the EC for further listings.)

Songwriting Contests &Market Information:
Just what they say and handy indeed.  If you're looking for a songwriting contest to enter or information on how you can improve your craft, record your demo or attend a seminar, this is definitely the place to look.  If you are representing any of the above, contact me and I'll be happy to list you too!

Classifieds:
This really doesn't need any explanation but since The Muse's Muse has been around for over ten years and this classified section was one of the first things to be included, you should know that it's become a standard place to check for songwriters everywhere.  If you want to advertise for free, this is the place to be! (and that even rhymed.  I'm so proud of myself :-) )

The MuseNote WebRing:
A web ring with a difference - made specifically for web sites that are resources for songwriters.  If you feel your web site fits the bill, take a look and apply.   I can't guarantee I'll add your site, but I can guarantee I'll give it serious consideration.

Interested in Linking to The Muse's Muse?
If you'd like to use a graphic for that link, just click above and scoop one up. Simple instructions are included in this section along with easy to copy code.

Suggested Reading:
A list of songwriting books that are a worthy addition to any songwriter's library and including the books that I review in the newsletter.  These books are a great source of inspiration and definitely recommended.

The Songwriter's Store:
These are products and services especially for songwriters and musicians, carefully reviewed to make sure you're getting the most for your hard-earned money. Plus, many of them have special deals and discounts attached that you won't find anywhere else!

Kind Words:
Some of the nice things people have said about this site in the past and a listing of some of the awards The Muse's Muse has been lucky enough to receive.
