Los Angeles, California (June 2, 2008)— Pop Rock artist Kaitlyn Anderson’s new single “UNHAPPY” off her debut EP “A New Word for Over” was the most added single at top 40 radio on the indie charts with New Music Weekly magazine. “A New Word for Over” was officially released on May 9, 2008—and Anderson’s record promotion team began her push to radio that same week.
Anderson’s record promoter, Jennifer Lyneis says, “The M. Loring Communications promotion team was excited to get the news today about our new artist and feel that Kaitlyn’s fresh and personal lyrics will continue to blossom at radio.”
For her debut EP, Anderson and her producer Peter Barker (Fiona Apple, Heart, The Pretenders, Incubus) created an infectious rock sound highlighted with a kiss of pop. Inspired by musical acts such as Foo Fighters, Kelly Clarkson and Paramore, Kaitlyn has taken the best of each influence to create her own sound in her six-track EP.
