DéBiaS releases new single - Gaslight The Song is about mental abuse in relationships. The term Gaslighting : aka Brainwashing is commonplace in abusive relationships. Gaslighting or gas-lighting is a form of mental abuse in which information is twisted/spun, selectively omitted to favor the abuser, or false information is presented with the intent of making victims doubt their own memory, perception and sanity. Instances may range simply from the denial by an abuser that previous abusive incidents ever occurred, up to the staging of bizarre events by the abuser with the intention of disorienting the victim. The term owes its origin to the play Gas Light and its film adaptations, after which it was coined popularly.

Dj DébiaS, is known to the underground world of experimental Hip Hop. A native of Queens, NY. DJ/Lyricist has been composing; producing tracks, mix tapes since the age of 13. Started recording around 1995. He is one of the founders of 1200 Percynt; Trio of 3 DJ’s that held set over nightlife in Corvallis, OR during his years in college. Over several years as a Dj, DéBias has built a network of relationships with fellow Dj’s and Artist The Juggernaut: 1200 Percynt, Diss One: 1200 Percynt”, Pharoe Monch, MC Lotto. Distant relative of MC Shan “Hip Hop Pioneer”. His passion grew for music as a child being surrounded by music. He learned a deep appreciation for music from his family. His mother and grandmother were heavy influences into R&B, 60’s and Jazz genres. Some of his musical influences are: Nas, Moorcheeba, Phantogram, De La Soul, Esthero, Music Soul Child, and J Dilla to name a few.

He has published two instrumental albums on iTunes. Debut album entitled “The Conduit” and His sophomore album “Domestic Squabbles”. At this time he has compiled over several albums of material that has never been released to the public. He is currently working on finishing his third album to poise to be released in April of 2015 later this year.

Débias intended on actually recording lyrics to some of his previous material of published instrumentals, but from some reason decided not to at the time. However at this point is working on re-releasing selected tracks from his two earlier albums with intended lyrics that he original wrote. His peers define his style as intangible. He adapts kinetically to the musical genre and rhythmic natures. He is influenced by many genres of music and is humble artist that is sensitive to the nature of the body of work that he chooses to share with the public. His music is a voice that brings controversy and unspoken issues into the light, where others wont. So the issues that should be addressed should speak for themselves.
