Cliff Cooper and Stevie Wonder Reminisce at NAMM 2015

Date: Feb 04, 2015

Posted by:

Stevie Wonder called by the Orange Amplification Booth at the recent Winter NAMM show to meet up with the company’s founder Cliff Cooper and was captured on camera reminiscing. This is the third year running he has visited Cliff on their Booth.

He first used Orange Amps on the recording of Superstition and has used them ever since. Stevie can be seen using the amps during the heyday of his soul-funk era in the seven-minute version of Superstition on Sesame Street in 1973.
Stevie used the Orange studios in 1969 and soon afterwards played the legendary Rainbow Theatre. The story of this gig is featured in the Book of Orange.

Other visitors to the Orange both included Glenn Hughes and Andrew Watt (California Breed), Stephen Carpenter and Sergio Vega (Deftones), Scott Holiday ( Rival Sons), Ty Tabor (King’s X), Monte Pittman (Madonna), Jesse Hughes (Eagles Of Death Metal), Andreas Kisser (Sepultura) and Larry ‘Ler’ LaLonde (Primus).
