YETI LOVE is set to release their new single, ‘Lonely Road’, taken from their self-titled debut album. ‘Lonely Road’ has been produced at Metropolis Studios, mixed by Senior Engineer Xavier Stephenson (The Who, Amy Winehouse, Winner of 'Pro Sound’s Rising Star’ award in 2013) and mastered by Andy ‘Hippy’ Baldwin (The Who, Arcade Fire, Interpol, Blur). Having been hand selected to support Nick Oliveri (Queens Of The Stone Age) and Boy Hits Car on their European Tour, YETI LOVE are now ready to make their mark.

The Acoustic-Folk group comprises of Peter Hamilton (Vocals/ Guitar) and Dave Sears (Guitar). Peter spent many years drumming for successful Rock bands and touring across Europe. Eventually he grew tired of the contrived and mechanistic entrapments of the Rock scene and began to set his sights on a new project of his own. Peter quickly took to the guitar and began writing. Being half Spanish and hailing from Galicia, Peter drew on his roots for inspiration and developed an affinity for Folk music.

In the summer of 2013 guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Dave Sears joined the project, as a fellow Folk musician Peter felt that Dave could bring more dimensionality to the music. After jamming together it became apparent that they had a harmony between them, leading to an infusion of Dave’s Celtic Folk with the grooves of Peter’s Latin influence thus forming the backbone of the YETI LOVE sound.

YETI LOVE list artists like Ben Harper, Blind Melon, Tom Waits and even Tool as key influences. Peter also speaks of Bruce Springsteen’s ‘Ghost Of Tom Joad’ as a major inspiration for his style of rhythmic guitar strumming. When listening to ‘Saints Of White Lines’ you can hear band evoke the spirit of Neil Young and get political with their songwriting like Bob Dylan on ‘Old Man.’ The tone of Peter’s vocals sound reminiscent of Ray Lamontage creating gentle, yet sincere ballads. His voice is heartfelt, genuine and captivating.

The band move swiftly through a wide range of genres, from Americana, to Blues, to more Alternative sounds. Their variety of arrangements and instrumentation keep the listener constantly engaged whilst taking them on an interesting journey. Whereas most musicians these days keep playing with standard samples and inserting effects, YETI LOVE break the mould with their exciting experimentation. With YETI LOVE you don’t just get guitars and drums; there’s Mandolins, banjos, lap slides, the works.
Their music taps into different moods, occasionally switching paces from haunting moments to full bloodied guitar stomps and moments of ambience and uplifting positivity.

‘Lonely Road’ delivers hard, guitar strumming at a furious pace. You can tell that Peter’s experiences as a drummer have developed him into a strong, rhythmic guitarist. It really has the feel of his homeland, Galicia in Northern Spain. Peter’s vocals accompany the driving pace accordingly, delivering passion, emotion and a sense of urgency. The two come together beautifully and show that YETI LOVE can be both fierce and emotive.
