IMSTA FESTA Chicago Celebrates Music Techonolgy at Free Industry Event

International Music Software Trade Association Brings IMSTA FESTA to Chicago To Celebrate Music Technology For All Music Makers

Chicago, IL - June 8, 2015 - The International Music Software Trade Association (IMSTA), an international non-profit organization based in Toronto, Canada is set to host IMSTA FESTA for the first time in Chicago on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at SAE Institute campus located at 820 N. Orleans Street in Chicago.
IMSTA FESTA is a free event open to music makers of all genres and levels including songwriters and music technology professionals, semi professionals, amateurs, hobbyists, students and educators. Attendees are invited to attend hands-on master class workshops, learn from professional panels, and network with major industry professionals.
IMSTA is dedicated to educating and fostering a conversation with music software and hardware users and manufacturers on the value of purchasing music software products they use rather than using illegal versions of the products. Since 2007, IMSTA has held IMSTA FESTA events in major cities including Tokyo, New York, Los Angeles and Toronto to help promote IMSTA’s core message and slogan ‘Buy the software you use’ and are excited to bring this event to Chicago opening up networking and educational opportunities for the growing music technology industry across Chicagoland.
The International Music Software Trade Association (IMSTA) includes a roster of high profile panelists and top technology exhibitors, master classes and an international song competition at the annual celebration of Music Technology event. The networking event is co-sponsored by the SAE Institute, Broadjam, Sweetwater Sound, GRAMMY P&E Wing, NAMM and Keyboard, Electronic Musician and Tape-Op magazines.
The IMSTA FESTA Professional Panel Series will be led by professional industry leaders including Steve ‘Silk’ Hurley, Martin Atkins and Ricco Lumpkins who bring a fresh perspective on the music production industry sharing information on how to make money with your music, developing your EDM business, as well as information about publishing and licensing within the music industry. Top Musical Instrumental Technology companies such as Avid, Celemony, FabFilter, Image Line, Native Instruments, PreSonus, Propellerhead and Solid State Logic will all be together under one roof to interact with music makers face-to-face. Many exhibiting companies will host scheduled Master Classes focusing on advanced use of popular products like Maschine, Melodyne and Solid State Logic mixers. During the event, guests are eligible to win raffle prizes that will be given away every hour on the hour from these top audio technology companies.
IMSTA FESTA Chicago also celebrates music technology by announcing the regional finalist of the annual IMSTA FESTA Song Competition. Aspiring songwriters in any genre both with or without lyrics are encouraged to enter by submission deadline July 4, 2015. Additionally, IMSTA FESTA Chicago will feature live Song Reviews where experienced industry professionals offer insightful, educated, one-on-one appraisals of songs brought to the show by attendees.
